Spring Flower Highlight: Snowdrop Anemone

We continue our Best Spring Flower series with one of my personal favorites, the highly underappreciated, Snowdrop Anemone. These beautiful delicate white flowers are fragrant and quite easy to care for. Continue reading below for tips to grow this beautiful perennial flower.
Planting
Snowdrop Anemone loves shady areas with loose rocky soil. Rock gardens, borderlines, under shade trees, etc. are all great areas to sow Snowdrop Anemone. They will also grow quite well in pots as long as the soil is kept moist. Sow seeds ¼ deep in loose soil and follow care instructions.
Care
Caring for Snowdrop Anemone is fairly easy as long as you choose a good area to sow your seeds. Remember full shade to dappled sun areas are perfect. Fertilize once at the beginning of spring and make sure to water regularly. Depending on your area you should be watering once to even two times a week, especially in warmer months like July. Mulch in the middle of the summer to help prevent weeds and to keep the soil cool. Snow Anemone is a perennial that will return year after year if taken care of properly. Divide plant clumps every few years to prevent overcrowding.
