Salt Lake has some pretty great apparel and winter gear stores to consider. Here’s a list of apparel and gear stores that offer something unique!
1. iconoCLAD
414 300 S, Salt Lake City, UT 84111
iconoCLAD is an awesome gently used clothing store with great service and plenty of funky clothing and accessories. This is a fun store to peruse because their selection is constantly changing. You might have trouble finding something specific but iconoCLAD is always sure to surprise.
2. Level 9 Sports
660 400 W, Salt Lake City, UT 84101
This Ski and Bike shop is highly regarded by local adventurers. Level 9 has amazing prices and friendly and attentive service that you won’t find at bigger box stores. If you’re in the market for ski gear or just want to window shop one of SLC’s finest check out Level 9 sooner than later!
3. 2ndTracks Millcreek
2927 E 3300 S, Salt Lake City, UT 84109
2ndTracks is a smaller store but the prices and service are hard to beat. Most of the gear is gently used but they do a good job of carrying high quality products. The staff are also more concerned with getting something just right for you then getting a commission. This is one of my personal favorite gear stores in the SLC area.
4. The Gear Room: Ski Shop and Climbing
3422 Fort Union Blvd, Cottonwood Heights, UT 84121
The Gear Room is a highly rated local ski and climbing shop. The staff are insanely knowledgeable and you can tell that they love what they do. This shop is aimed at serious outdoor adventurers so consider one of the above shops if you’re just dipping your toes into skiing or climbing.
5. AJ Motion Sports
9432 S Union Square, Sandy, UT 84070
This local shop doesn’t seem as well-known as some of the others (perhaps because it’s a newer store) but Sandy locals swear by it, especially for rentals. AJ Motion has some of the best deals for rentals, particularly for ski gear. If you have kids who love to ski but outgrow their gear every year AJ Motion is must. Their staff are also very friendly and will help you find just what you need to hit the snow this winter!
