winter for spring! This season, consider getting the kids involved! The best
way to get kids passionate about nature is for them to experience it firsthand.
Take a Road Trip
The spring is a great time for a road trip to a State or
National Park. Make sure to check the parks schedule to make sure the park has
opened for the warmer months. Early spring can be a great time to visit a park
as crowds are typically low. However, be aware that spring break can often be a
very busy time at state and national parks.
Make a D.I.Y. Craft
Whether it’s a homemade birdfeeder, hand-painted plant pot,
wind chime, etc. there are so many easy and fun D.I.Y. crafts. Plan one the
whole family will enjoy and get crafting!
Go to the Lake
Even if you don’t have a boat, there’s so much fun to be had
at the lake! If your family is adventurous consider booking a campground near
the water. Depending on your area, the weather may still be cool, so plan
accordingly. If you live in a warmer place this may be the best time of year
for a day at the lake.
