Fall Yard Cleaning Tips

You know its fall season again when the leaves start to fall – it’s time to clean up your yard. No one likes spending their weekend, weeding or raking leaves, but guess what, it is a must. It is essential that you landscape beds and clear debris away from your yard before it starts to snow and the frozen pile up. To get the most out of your yard and make it look perfect to follow the following checklist of fall cleanup musts.
1.   Remove all the leaves from the lawn
This is very important you need to do this before the snow starts to fall, because leaves can kill your grass. So, clear out all leaves and debris using the Leaf Rake to make it a quick work of raking. When buying a leaf rake choose the one make with aluminum and capable of removing large quantities of leaves all at once.
2.   Fertilize Your Lawn
Well, many article and sources advice that the best time to fertilize your lawn is in the spring or summer, but fall is the best time to (especially if you will be doing this once a year). Because when it starts to get colder your grass blades wont grow fast anymore but their roots will continue to grow. So, if you wants your grass roots to grow deep and also retain enough nutrients for springtime then give your lawn some extra food now.
3.   Clean the Rain Gutters
One part of your lawn that will help keep things in place when the damp winter hits are rain gutters. You want to make sure that you have a proper and clear drainage. SO, when cleaning your gutter use hose or hand shovel to clear it out.
4.   Trim the Trees and Plants
TO avoid more workload during the spring it is advisable that you trim broken and dead limbs from trees and shrubs now, as doing this helps your tree. You will need the right equipment that can power through branches. Cutting branches can be hard and can cause injuries, so you need heavy tool with razor-sharp blade.
5.   Mow a Final Time
Roger trims which are a director at farming industry said "disease has a harder time with shorter grass," and fallen leaves blow across the lawn because they have nothing to latch on to." Turf down your grass to 1¼ inches for the last cut of the season. Don't go too low, because grass gets most of their food from the upper blade.
As with any home cleaning projects, the key is to clear away the clutter. You need to get rid of anything that you haven't used or otherwise considered as junk.
