One of the most favorite holidays of the year is Halloween
(especially for kids). Most of them look forward to this period for weeks and
months, as they take their time to plan their costume, the type of candy they
want most and where to trick or to treat. As fun as Halloween can be the same
as it can be dangerous – if care is not taken. Most kids are so cut up in the
moments thinking about candy and mask making them less aware of their
surroundings. So, as to the make sure your kids are safe during, this period we
have listed below some tips to help make sure that your kids don't become
accident statistics.
1. Select Safe
Costumes
IT is very important when choosing Halloween costume that
you choose the ones that are made from vibrant colors. Doing this will make it
easy for your child to be easily seen in the dark.
2. Face Masks
Have you for once sit down and ask what face mask are made
from and if they are healthy for the person wearing it? Well, most face masks
are safe, but there are still some that contain toxic chemicals and may not be
safe. So, when choosing a mask, you need to make sure it is safe and its not
obstructing your child sight. It is because of this reason that you want to be
sure your child can easily see clearly, without interference in sight.
3. Flashlights
& Glow Sticks
We don’t have to dwell much on this, as you are already know
the need for ensuring your son or daughter can be seen at nighttime. Kids likes
to play and they might run out of the road without looking, so it is advisable
that you get them a flashlight or a glow stick that will make sure drivers see
your child if this happens. It’s even interesting that there are fun character
flashlights and varied choices of glowsticks you can choose from and not the
basic flashlight from home, as this will interest your child.
4. Stay Out of The
Road
Just as we stated earlier on kids can tend to stray toward
walking in the road instead of on the sidewalk; so as a parent you need to
advise them to stick to sidewalk and be safe. On Halloween there might be a lot
more traffic driving through neighborhoods carrying treaters or trick.
5. Stay In
Groups
You can have a discussion with another parent to allow the
kids to go in a group and not alone. There is safety in numbers, so the more
kids, the safer they will be. So, make sure your children go out in groups of
at least three kids.
Following these tips will help make sure everyone has a safe
and fun Halloween.
